1,00,000 pledges on cleanliness generated

It was a privileged moment to invite Smt. Anandiben Patel, Ex. Chief Minister, Gujarat to GLS at an exceptional function organized at GLS campus, Ahmedabad on 30th January, 2015- the 67th Death Anniversary of Gandhiji. There I presented 1,00,000 Sankalp Patras to Smt. Anandiben Patel, Ex. Chief Minister, Gujarat.

These ‘SankalpPatras’ were collected through a massive cleanliness awareness drive carried out in the last three months in and around Ahmedabad by the students and the faculty members of GLS. This cleanliness awareness drive has received an incredible response where more than More than One lakh responsible citizens promised to voluntarily work for at least two hours every week and for 100 hours annually for maintaining cleanliness, thus contributing to the success of ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’.

Since my appointment as one of the ambassadors of Swachta, my team of students and staff members of more than 30 educational institutes of GLS embarked upon an extensive drive for creating awareness about ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’. In a remarkable contribution towards this dream of Mahatma Gandhi, of a Clean India, the students, teachers and other staff members of my various Educational Institutes of Gujarat Law Society (GLS), leading Ahmedabad-based educational trust have collected ‘Sankalp Patras’ of more than 100,000 responsible citizens to voluntarily work for the accomplishment and success of the National Campaign initiated by our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
